Celebrity Fitness Tips For You And Me

It would be a mistake to think that celebrities get their hot bodies and sculptured physiques purely on good luck and genetics. Totally not true. While it is true that some people are naturally slender and have an easy time staying thin, being thin and having an awesome body are not the same thing. If you could take a peek behind the scenes and look at how those celebrities live every day, a much different reality starts to emerge.

They work hard at it. Yep. It’s true. They work hard (just like everyone who has a great body to show for it) and they stick at it. Since in many cases it is their job to stay fit (as in ac actor or athlete), many regular folks like you and me usually use that as an excuse as to why we cannot get fit. We say to ourselves, “If I got PAID to workout all the time, I would surely do it.” Really? Let’s get real, those actors or athletes don’t get paid to workout. They really get paid to perform a job. They choose to workout consistently because they want to keep that job. So in fact, they are only getting paid indirectly.

So what can we do to have the same benefits that celebrities have? What can we do to stay motivated like they are? Celebrities have personal trainers that help them workout. But do you really think the personal trainer is there to watch their form and make sure that they are performing the exercises correctly? The answer to that is a big, fat NO. Sure, in the beginning of the personal training there might have been a strong focus on teaching the client the right moves, but pretty soon you have all the moves down pat. So what is the true value of the personal trainer? It’s the companionship. I’ll explain.

Some call this accountability, because the personal trainer is there to hold you accountable to showing up to the session. And that is true to some degree. But I think that what is really driving the value of the personal trainer, is the same thing that occurs when you have a workout partner. It’s not so much that you don’t skip a workout, as it is that the workout itself becomes more enjoyable when you have someone to share it with. This doesn’t mean that you always have to have someone workout with you in order to feel good. It just means that more often than not, having a trainer or workout partner makes it more fun. And therein lies the value of the personal trainer or partner. It’s the fact that you are injecting some fun and enjoyment into the process.

The biggest benefit that celebrities have with respect to personal trainers is the fact that they are in essence making their exercise experience more fun and enjoyable by having that other person there with them. That other person can be there for them not only for guidance, but can also be there to just make the experience fun, instead of one to be dreaded because you are working out alone. So having a trainer partner is one way that you can have one of the same fitness secrets that nearly every celebrity has. And the added secret is that you can have all the fun working out without having to worry about the paparazzi like the celebrities do. Isn’t that grand?
